Smart Sign‑In is a fast and secure way to log in to the GoTradesman mobile app without entering your email or password.

Instead, you simply scan a QR code from your phone, and the app signs you in automatically.
This feature is available only in the GoTradesman mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Why Use Smart Sign‑In?

Smart Sign‑In is designed to:

• Remove the need to type your email and password on a small screen
• Speed up the login process
• Reduce login errors
• Improve security by avoiding password entry on mobile devices

If you’re already logged in on your computer or laptop, Smart Sign‑In lets you jump into the mobile app instantly.

Where to Find Your QR CodeTo use Smart Sign‑In, you must first be logged in on a computer or laptop.

1. Visit your My Account page:
   https://www.gotradesman.co.uk/account/my-account
2. Scroll down until you see the Smart Sign‑In section.
3. A unique QR code will be displayed on the page.

Keep this page open on your computer while you use your phone to scan the code.

How to Use Smart Sign‑In (Step‑by‑Step)On Your Phone (GoTradesman App)

1. Open the GoTradesman mobile app.
2. On the sign‑in screen, tap Smart Sign‑In.
3. Tap Start Camera.
4. If your device has multiple cameras (e.g., multiple rear lenses), choose the camera you want to use — usually the back camera.
5. Point your phone’s camera at the QR code displayed on your computer.

On Your Computer

1. Make sure you are already logged in to your GoTradesman account.
2. Keep the My Account page open with the QR code visible.

Automatic Login

Once your phone detects the QR code:

• The app will authenticate your device
• You will be signed in automatically
• No password entry required

Troubleshooting

QR code not scanning?

• Ensure the QR code is fully visible on your computer screen
• Clean your phone’s camera lens
• Try switching to a different camera (front/back)
• Increase screen brightness on your computer

Still not working?Close the app completely and try again.

Security Notes

• Your QR code is unique to your account
• It cannot be used without your device and your active login session
• The code expires automatically for security
